هنالك غموض حول مكونات الحدائق المنزلية في عمان الأردن خصوصا الجزء الغربي من أمانة عمان الكبرى ، ففهم مكنونات الحدائق سيقدم معلومات فعالة حول عناصر و مواد الحدائق و متطلباتها المائية، و بتالي فإن الهدف الرئيسي من هذا البحث هو تحديد أنواع الحدائق المنزلية و المواد شائعة الأستخدام في عمان و متطلباتها المائية، حيث تم دراسة و تحليل 54 منزل سكني يحتوي على حديقة في ست مناطق من مناطق أمانة عمان الكبرى، و تم دراسة تسع عينات في كل منطفة، و تم أخذ كافة القياسات في الموقع لكل حديقة منزلية، و تم قياس و تحديد جميع مواد و عناصر الحدائق ورسمها، و بعد ذلك تم رسم المخطط على برنامج الأوتوكاد لكل منزل لغاية حساب مساحات مواد وعناصر الحدائق المنزلية، و تم تقسيم مناطق الحديقة الي اجزاء بناء على أستخدام موقع الحديقة إلى حديقة أمامية و حديقة جانبية و حديقة خلفية، و تم التعامل مع كل جزء بأعتباره حديقة منفصلة. جميع عناصر و مواد الحدائق تم توحيدها لكل وحدة مساحة و تم أستخدام نسبة تغطية 30% لمواد الحدائق لتحديد أسم الحديقة، ثم بعد ذلك تم حساب متطلبات الحديقة المائية بالأعتماد على معامل النتح و التبخر و معامل النبات، دلت نتائج هذا البحث عن تحديد سبع انواع حدائق منزلية شائعة في عمان و مثلت هذة الأنواع 88% من الحدائق التي تم دراستها، و كانت هذه الأنواع الشائعة هي: أسطح صلبة، أسطح صلبة تراب، أسطح صلبة حجارة، أسطح صلبة نجيل، تراب، شجر أسطح صلبة تراب، نجيل، إن الحدائق التي تحتوي أسطح صلبة بأسمها شكلت ما نسبته 85% من جميع الحدائق في أمانة عمان الكبرى، المتطلبات المائية للحدائق الشائعة في عمان قسمت الى مجموعتين من حيث المتطلبات المائية، نوع النجيل كان أعلى متطلب مائي (1742 لتر/سنة/م2) أما باقي الأنواع الشائعة كانت متماثلة أحصائيا بمعدل أستهلاك مائي 390 لتر/سنة/م2، في الحدائق الأمامية كانت أنواع الأسطح الصلبة و الأسطح الصلبة تراب الأكثر شيوعا و في الحدائق الخلفية الأسطح الصلبة كان النوع الأكثر شيوعا، أما النباتات ذات المتطلبات المائية قليل إلى متوسط كانت الأكثر شيوعا قي الحدائق المنزلية في عمان. بناء على هذة الدراسة فإن التوصية بزيادة إستخدام النباتات ذات الأحتياج المائي القليل و زيادة المساحات الخضراء في الحدائق المنزلية.
Understanding the components of residential landscapes in Amman can deliver effective information about landscape elements, materials, and their water requirements. Therefore, the main objective of this research was to identify the most common landscape types and materials of residential properties in Greater Amman Municipality and their landscape water budget. This research surveyed and studied 54 residential properties with landscape in six districts in Greater Amman Municipality. Nine properties were sampled from each district. Site measurements were conducted for each residential landscape. All landscape elements and materials were measured, identified, and recorded on a hand sketch drawing. Then, AutoCAD plan was made for each residential property in order to calculate the area of landscape materials. The whole landscapable area around the home was divided into separate zones based on landscape location and use (front yard, back yard, and side yard). Each zone was treated as a separate landscape. All landscape areas were standardized per zone area. After standardized landscape elements per zone area, elements that had coverage 30% or more was used to identify the landscape name (type). Then water requirement of common landscape type was calculated based on evapotranspiration and plant coefficient. Seven common landscape types were identified in Greater Amman Municipality and they represented 88% of all studied landscapes. These common landscape types were Hard-Surface, Hard-Surface Soil, Hard-Surface Mulch, Hard-Surface Turf, Soil, Tree Hard-Surface Turf, and Turf. Landscape that include Hard-Surface type in their name formed 85% of all landscape types. Common landscape types were grouped into two water budget groups. Turf landscape type had the highest landscape water budget (1742 liter/year/m²) while the rest of common landscape types had statistically similar water budget about 390 liter/year/m². In the front yard, the most common landscape types were Hard-Surface and Hard-Surface Soil landscape, while Hard-Surface landscape type was most commonly landscape in the back yard. Plants of ‘low to moderate’ water use level were the most common used in Greater Amman Municipality residential landscape. .
