This study aims at analyzing and investigating the socio-pragmatic functions of the slogans which have been used in the current Lebanese Uprising. Furthermore, the present study is an attempt to find out the differences between the Lebanese Uprising slogans and the slogans which were used in the previous Arab Uprisings. Two hundred and two slogans of the current Lebanese Uprising were collected from different online resources during the period between October 17th, 2019, and March 20th, 2020. The methods employed in the study is qualitative and quantitative. It drew on Interactional Sociolinguistics, Politeness Theory, and Thematic Analysis as a theoretical framework. The analysis of this study revealed twenty four socio-pragmatic functions that depicted the social, economic, and political situation in Lebanon. Calling for change was the most frequent and expressing loyalty and cynicism came last as they were found only twice each. It also showed that the protestors raised slogans that had similar demands to the demands in literature and discovered nearly the same functions that were found. However, the most prominent difference that was clear in this study was depending on dysphemism by the protestors to express their demands. They employed taboo words in the raised slogans.
تهدف هذه الدراسة الى تحليل و دراسة الشعارات التي استخدمت في الثورة اللبنانية الاخيرة تحليلا لغوية اجتماعيا براغماتيا لايجاد الوظائف اللغوية التي المستوحاة من هذه الشعارات. وبالاضافة الى كون هذه الدراسة محاولة لايجاد الفروقات بين الشعارات المستخدمة في الثورة اللبنانية الحالية والشعارات التي استخدمت في الثورات العربية السابقة. لقد تم جمع مئتين واثنين من الشعارات التي استخدمت في الثورة اللبنانية الحالية في الفتيرة بين السابع عشر من تشرين الاول لعام الفين وتسعة عشر والعشرون من شهر اذار من عام الفين وعشرين. لقد اعتمد الباحث على التحليل الكمي والنوعي للشعارات في اطار اللغويات الاجتماعية الثقافي لجامبرز (Gamperz) (1982) و نظرية التأدب اللغوي لبراون وليفينسون(Brown and Levinson) (1978)، بالاضافة الى لنظرية التحليل النوعي. ولقد اظهرت هذه الدراسة اربع وعشرون وظيفة لغوية اجتماعية وصفت الوضع السياسي و الاجتماعي والاقتصادي في لبنان. حيث كانت الدعوة للتغيير اكثر الوظائف اللغوية تكرارا بينما كان التعبير عن الولاء و الاستخفاف الاقل تكرارا حيث تكرر كل منهما مرتين فقط. كما اظهرت الدراسة ان المتظاهرين رفعوا شعارات مشابهة للمطالب في الشعارات المستخدمة في الثورات العربية السابقة. وما ميز الشعارات المستخدمة في الثورة اللبنانية الاخيرة عن الشعارات المستخدمة في الثورات السابقة كان استخدام ما يسمى بفحش التعبيير فقد قام المتظاهرون باستخدام كلمات بذيئة بشكل كبير للتعبير عن مطالبهم.
