General Notes:

"Published in 1991, the first edition of Forecasting and Management of Technology was one of the leading handful of books to deal with the topic of forecasting of technology and technology management as this discipline was emerging. The new, revised edition of this book will build on this knowledge in the context of business organizations that now place a greater emphasis on technology to stay on the cutting edge of development. The scope of this edition has broadened to include management of technology content that is relevant to now to executives in organizations while updating and strengthening the technology forecasting and analysis content that the first edition is reputed for.Updated by the original author team, plus new author Scott Cunningham, the book takes into account what the authors see as the innovations to technology management in the last 17 years: the Internet; the greater focus on group decision-making including process management and mechanism design; and desktop software that has transformed the analytical capabilities of technology managers. Included in this book will be 5 case studies from various industries that show how technology management is applied in the real world"--

The objective of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and human factors on customer satisfaction within the telecommunications sector. K-Nearest Neighbors, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, AdaBoost, Gradient Boosting, and the Voting Classifier were among the machine learning classifiers employed for the purpose of predicting customer satisfaction. The effectiveness of these classifiers was evaluated by employing assessment criteria such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The findings indicated that various classifiers exhibited varying degrees of accuracy in discerning contented and discontented customers, with the Voting Classifier demonstrating the highest level of accuracy. Moreover, an analysis of accuracy and recall demonstrated that Random Forest and Gradient Boosting classifiers exhibited notable proficiency in discerning between contented and discontented customers. The empirical evidence demonstrates that methodologies driven by artificial intelligence (AI) hold utility in predicting customers' levels of satisfaction. However, it also emphasizes the imperative of human interaction and expertise in conjunction with AI utilization. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies with human agents can lead to the development of comprehensive and efficient strategies for achieving customer satisfaction in the telecommunications industry. The present study acknowledges its inherent limitations, including its exclusive reliance on a singular dataset and a restricted set of variables. Future research should consider incorporating additional variables, employing qualitative research methodologies, and conducting longitudinal studies in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding consumer satisfaction. Through the examination of AI systems in terms of their reliability and impartiality, coupled with the utilization of big data analytics, enterprises can enhance their comprehension of customer sentiments and behaviors. To enhance customer satisfaction efforts and ensure the long-term performance of the telecommunications industry, it is imperative to gain a comprehensive understanding of the optimal equilibrium between AI-driven operations and human intervention.
